The port belt is not an office problem
Kochi's port economy — the container terminal at Vallarpadam, the warehousing spread through Kalamassery and along the Aluva corridor — creates a surveillance requirement most CCTV quotes are not written for.
A Kochi warehouse needs perimeter coverage, loading-bay identification and aisle visibility across a space with high ceilings, poor natural light and racking that blocks sightlines. Camera placement has to work around the racking layout, which changes as stock does.
Around Vallarpadam and Kalamassery the loading bays are where the value concentrates. At the Vallarpadam terminal and the Kalamassery godowns, footage showing a container being opened is useful; footage identifying who opened it and what came out is evidence. That distinction is a resolution and positioning decision made at survey, not something that can be corrected later.

We plan around the building's constraints rather than discovering them mid-installation.
Shared Kakkanad premises also raise a question worth settling early: whose recorder holds the footage, and who can access it. In shared premises that should be yours and locked down, not something the building's contractor administers on your behalf.
Retail and Hospitality in Kochi
Edappally, Aluva and the Fort Kochi trade
Kochi's retail runs from the mall corridor around Edappally through to smaller high-street trade in Aluva and Kalamassery, and the tourist-facing shops around Fort Kochi. Each carries a different surveillance requirement.
Units inside an Edappally mall sit within a building that has its own security, so your system covers your unit, stockroom and till line rather than a perimeter. Standalone premises in Aluva or Ernakulam town carry the full perimeter problem themselves.
Hospitality around Fort Kochi and Willingdon Island adds a constraint the others do not have: cameras must cover service areas and entrances without intruding on guest space, and that boundary is decided at survey rather than after a complaint.

Can you install in a rented Infopark or Kakkanad office?+
Yes, and shared buildings need planning. Cable routes pass through common areas, building management usually has rules about drilling and riser access, and coverage stops at your demise line. We establish those constraints at survey rather than discovering them on installation day.
What about warehouse and godown coverage near the port?+
That is a different specification from an office. High ceilings, racking that blocks sightlines and low natural light all affect camera choice and placement, and loading bays need identification-grade coverage rather than a general wide shot. We survey around the actual racking layout.
Who holds the footage and the recorder passwords?+
You do. Recorder credentials and remote access are handed to you at commissioning. If only the installer can reach the system, changing provider means replacing hardware — that is a lock-in you should not accept from us or anyone else.
How long is footage retained?+
It depends on camera count, resolution and recorder capacity — typically 15 to 30 days for a standard setup. Tell us the retention you need and we size storage for it in the quote rather than discovering the gap after an incident.
